South West Experience

Day 1. Leaving Perth we travel through the Darling Ranges to the Historic town of York in the Avon Valley where you may buy morning tea. Then it's on through the wheat belt countryside, stopping at Corrigin to visit the working dog cemetery a real dog cemetery for man's best friend, before arriving at Wave Rock and a walk around this unique rock. Travelling on through Lake Grace & Pingrup we stop for afternoon tea on the side of a mountain in the Stirling Ranges National Park. Leaving the mountains we continue on to Albany our overnight stop. (D)

Day 2. This morning we explore the beautiful Southern Ocean coastline and town of Albany including Mt Clarence, Middleton Beach, The Gap, Natural Bridge and Whale World Museum (entry to museum at own expense) or if you prefer a cruise on the Reef Explorer where you can view the many underwater attractions through the transparent hull, sitting actually below the water level. (Reef Explorer cruise also at own expense) Next along the coast at tranquil Denmark before an unforgettable visit to the famous Tree Top Walk and Ancient Empire in the Valley of the Giants. Where you'll experience the beauty of two giant trees, the Karri and the Tingle. We then head west through magnificent Karri and Jarrah Forest and a chance to climb the forest fire lookout Diamond Tree or maybe you'll prefer to sample a glass of wine at a scenic Pemberton Region winery. This evening will be spent at Augusta, the most southwest town of Western Australia, Whales often visit the waters quite close to shore and can sometimes be seen from here. (B&D)

Day 3. Today we will see the Southern Ocean meet the Indian Ocean at Leeuwin's famous lighthouse before a fascinating trip through the magical Jewel Cave. Now it's through the spectacular Margaret River Region to a Mystery Stop after which we'll be calling into Canal Rocks and a wool and craft farm and a visit to a world famous Margaret River region winery. This afternoon we will visit Busselton's 2 Kilometre Jetty, Bunbury's Dolphin Centre and Mandurah before concluding your Majestic Holiday back in Perth. (B)
